Dear SSC Members, We have our swim meet schedule for Long Course (April-August) posted in Swim Meet Info. Hover your mouse over "Swim Meet Info" and select "2010-2011 Meet List" in the drop-down menu. We have attempted to include at least one meet per month for swimmers of every level. Due to the PNS meet schedule being very weak on meet opportunities for newer swimmers, we (the coaching staff) will be running several Friday meets for beginning swimmers. The summer meet schedule is set up with tight timeframes. As we...

Hi, this is Coach Ben. SSC is experimenting with a new communication system. In the beginning of the year we have our Fall Meeting, but some people cannot attend and many join later in the year. We now have an automated email campaign designed to help new members become familiar with basic club functions and philosophy. You can subscribe to the campaign by putting your information in the box found in the "Join Team" tab. If you are new to the team I suggest you sign-up for the informative email...

SSC Age Groupers had a fantastic meet an Kamiak, dropping time in 80% of their swims, (48 out of 60) and making 15 new PNS cuts. As usual, every swimmer had at least one dropped time. A quick summary: Sydnie Chesley dropped in her 50 back. Sydnie was showing some "wear and tear" from attending so many meets in the recent past. Angeline Dovinh dropped in all events, about 40 seconds total. Riley Fidler dropped in 4 of 5 events, making the 100 breast and 50 fly PNS cuts Jeshua...

SSC had a great time at the pentathalon: SSC had 77% best times overall at the meet, which is really really good. Katis kids responded great to Kati at their first meet, and every single swimmer had at least one drop. A summary: Katelyn Anderson had 4 drops in 5 swims and made silver in the 50 fly and 100 IM Cathryn Armstrong also had 4 drops in 5 swims, dropping almost 8 seconds. Cathryn placed 1st twice and 2nd twice. Ashley Boar had 2 best times, including a 2.79...

You dont often get a swimmer breaking a team record when they still have a year and a half to go in their Age Group, but Angeline Dovinh did just that last sunday at the Chinook Pentathalon. Angeline swam a remarkable 34.75 in the 50 breast. Great Job Angeline!

A reminder that there is no wokrout at Mariner on friday november 5th.

SSC kicked off its fall season as it has for the last few years, at the Sockeeye Sprints. Age Groupers (12 and unders) set personal records at an 81% clip. There were precisely 100 swims, with 66 drops, 15 swims and 17 adds. Swimmers with 100% drops were: Danielle Booth, Jack Busby, Sydnie Chesley, Daniela Crosby, Angeline Dovinh, Riley Fidler, Marissa Kanaly, Kynseth Mann, Emily Ness, Victoria Nguyenle, Beatrice Obaob, Travis Spitzock, Jeremiah Tien, Sarach Walters, Rhys Wells-Edwards, and Rowan Wells-Edwards. Good job, swimmers
