Swim-a-thon Flyer If you haven't heard yet, the Swim-a-thon is Wed. the 27th of April. Each swimmer will participate at their normal practice pool. AG3 and Seniors will swim at their regular times and will do dryland on schedule. The water portion of the day will be a standard 5000 yard straight swim. Parents are welcome on deck to record lengths (bring your own pens/paper). Swimmers at Mariner should expect paperwork and specifics from Coach Paul soon. There will be a Swim-a-thon kickoff and informational meeting at Mariner this Monday, April 18th, at 6:30. This meeting is for all parents of Mariner-based Stingray swimmers. The swim-a-thon is our primary fundraiser. There will be random and specific awards for participants. We encourage all SSC swimmers, down to the class level to participate. Hi this is Coach Ben, I have several important messages for SSC swimmers & parents. This message may be replayed at the end and I will post the contents of this message in our NEWS section on the website. First is that both the Spring Thunderbird and the VAST Summer Spectacular meet entries are due tomorrow, April 6th. Meet info for both competitions are on our website. Age grouper had a great meet at Divisionals. The meet was of a pentahalon format and it was daunting in its size. SSC youngsters stepped up and just did a great job. There were exactly 150 successfully completed swims. 91 were drops, and 13 were first swims, leading to a success rate of 69%. There were only 3 DQ’s during the meet, which is remarkably low.
