October challenge review

The October challenge meet was a huge sucess for the SSC Age Groupers. Swimmers established personal records at an 82.9% clip. We had 99 droppped times, 71 first swims, and only 35 adds. At least 10 of the adds were swims that a swimmer had performed 2 weeks earlir at Sockeye. It was a terrific effort: a summary by swimmer:

Kately Anderson had her first meet and had four great swims, including a silver cut in the 50 free. Katelyn is only 9.

Maggie Balan had her first meet with 3 nice swims.

Jessica Boar dropped time in all 8 of her events for a total of about 50 seconds

Danielle Booth dropped in all of her swims, made PNS cuts in the 100 free and  100 back

Jack Busby had three drops and made a silver cut in the 100 back.

Daniela Crosby had 100% drops, made silver in the 100 back

Takeru Doi had his first meet, made silver in the 100 free 100 back and 100 breast

Angeline Dovinh had 100% drops, and is swimming at a VERY high level.

Eliot Carmin had 100% PR's, one drop and one first swim

Jolie Eliot 3 first swims

Macy filder had 100% drops

Riley Fidler had 75% best times and dropped about 40 seconds overall

Kaitlyn Flors had 67% best times and made silver in the 50 fly

Jaida Frees had first swims and swam well

Jeshua Frees had 100% best times

Marissa Kanaly made silver in the 100 back and had 100% best times

Colin Kusuda, who has had the flu, had 2 drops. Nice to see him back in the pool.

Angela Lee had 100% best times and dropped 12 seconds in the 100 free

Kynseth Mann had 3 drops in four swims, icluding 2 she swam only 2 weeks ago.

Katelyn Marvin had her first meet and swam well

Brook Macintosh sropped 20 seconds in 3 of 4 swims

Emily Ness had 100% personal records

Sean Nguyenle had 20 seconds dropped in 4 of 8 events

Victoria Nguyenle made PNS cuts in her 200 fly and had 5 PR's in 8 swims

Ryan Price made PNS cuts in the 50 and 100 back

Steven Price had his first meet and was terrific

Travis Spitzock had 100% best times and dropped over 30 seconds

Jeremiah Tien had 7 of 8 drops and made PNS in the 100 back and 50 breast

Siena Utt had 3 drops in 4 events, and made silver in the 50 breast

Aaron Volkz had 1 drop in 2 events

Caleb Volz had 3 PR's

Jacob Volz had 4 fiorst swims and dropped 46 seconds in the other two swims! He made silver in the 50 free

Elysa Waldal had her first meet and did fine

Sarah Walters droppped 60 seconds in 7 swims

Bryn Wells-Edwards had two first swims in 4 events

Rhys Wells-Edwards had 75% best times

Rowan Wells-Edwards also has 75% best times.
