SRST: Very Important End of Season Announcements

Stingray Swim Club

Hello Team!

Here are some important end of season notes:

  1. The last day of the season (last practice) is Friday August 1st.

  2. The last swim meet is the NCSSL Champs on Saturday August 2nd.

  3. There will be no monthly fee added in August.

  4. All accounts will be left “on” until August 10th.  This will allow for two things to happen:

    A) Accounts set up with auto-pay will pay any outstanding balances automatically.

    B) Those who pay by other methods will have a final opportunity to log into their SRST account, review the balance and make final payment.

Note: For those who like to pay with cash: Please make your final payment to Coach Darrell on or before your final practice in July.

Note: For those who want to mail a check:  Checks are made out to SRST and should be mailed to PO Box 652 Monroe WA 98272.

  5. All accounts will be turned off on August 11th.

  6. All members will need to re-register for the 2025-2026 Short Course Season.  Registration will be open on the SRST website some time between August 12th and August 20th.  We will not be announcing this via email since all accounts will be “off”.  Members must check the website.  There will be a Facebook post when we open registration.

  7. All members must register on our website.  This includes returning members of the team.  Coaches will be reviewing all registrations during the first week of practice to ensure everyone has an active/updated SRST account with current Premium USA Swimming membership.  All required forms will need to be on file prior to the first practice.  Swimmers who show up without a complete registration are not considered to be in good standing with SRST/USA Swimming and will not be allowed to swim.

  8. The Short Course Season begins on Monday, September 1st (Labor Day) and runs through March 29th.

  9. Team Handbook Updates:  There will be several updates to the Team Handbook for next season.  The Team Handbook contains our policies and procedures and outlines all expectations in detail.  It’s critical that members read the Team Handbook and fully understand the structure of the team. The Team Handbook will be available for your review once registration opens up. Make sure you read the new version of the Team Handbook that will be part of the online registration (only this version will have the new updates).

  10. USA Swimming: All members will need to upgrade/renew their USA Swimming membership at the time of registration for the 2025-2026 Short Course Season.  SRST understands that those with existing USA Swimming membership have a valid card through the end of December, but all SRST members are committing to swim (and pay) through the end of March 2026.  By re-registering in September we will ensure that all our members are in good standing with USA Swimming (with no lapse in membership) throughout the entire season.  This is non-negotiable, as it directly impacts our ability to stay in compliance with our USA Swimming Insurance policy.

Note: Only Premium membership will be allowed.  We will not accept Flex Membership.

  11. Fees and Volunteering:  SRST has a great team environment.  The only issues/complaints we see presented to the owners are around the topic of fees and volunteering.  It is absolutely critical that all members understand our fees and volunteer policies.  There are no exceptions to our policies.  All members will be required to sign (re-sign if previously a member) a hard copy Handbook Acknowledgement Form prior to their swimmer attending their first practice.

Congrats to all our swimmers and coaches on an amazing season. There were countless best times, new team records, SRST top ten performances and new time standards achieved. Outside of the fast swimming, we witnessed amazing personal development in our athletes, great friendships formed and a team spirit we can all be proud of.

I want to publically acknoweldge our amazing coaches on a job well done. It's clear to see how much they care about the kids as they share their passion and knowledge of the sport of swimming. We are very lucky to have such an amazing group of coaches working with our swimmers!

Thank you all for an amazing Long Course Season! Let's finish strong and then enjoy some time off with friends and family in August. We look forward to an incredible Short Course Season in 2025-2026.
