SRST: Practice Schedule/Moses Lake Timeline/More!
SRST Families,
Here are some important announcements:
- All workouts on Friday (July 19th) are regular time/place with one exception: Gold is swimming 4-5PM with AG1. Coach Kyle will be running AG2, Coach Cassie will be running the AG1/Gold combo workout.
- Moses Lake Timeline click here. If you are "new" to swim meets/outdoor meets, please read thru the guides on our website in Team Info/Swim Meet Info. Here is a direct link: CLICK HERE. Emphasis on sunscreen, hydration (start paying attention to hydration now) and bring your own shade and camping chairs.
- Some of you have noticed that relays for PNS Champs are posted. Final determinations for relays will be made right after Moses Lake, with one exception: 13-14 girls 200 F.R. is set...you know who you are (we still do not have 100% commitment on this relay, so when I get yes/no I will notify the families via email).
- There are no further Sat. workouts.
- Next Friday there is no workout for Seniors (there will be practice on Thursday even though PNS has started...Cassie or someone else will cover).
- The cancelation of Grand Poobah was a disappointment to many (and myself included). Unfortunately there are no other meets offered that late in the summer that we could put on the schedule as a replacement. My hope is that with the new pool opening in Snohomish, we might be able to host our own end of summer short course meet in early Aug. next season. The good news is there are many more meets right around the corner this fall. The new pool opens in Jan. It is likely that we will have some lanes there, but this has not been formalized. If available, we will move to the new pool BUT also stay in Everett. Coach Ben is likely to stay in Everett, but at this point there is no pool contract, so further details are TBD.
- Thank you all for your participation in the surveys. The coach survey will close Friday. The Senior Group Structure survey will close next Wed. After your comments have been evaluated and discussed with the staff, a follow-up message will be delivered from us to you to let you know of any changes we will make in response to the survey.
- 2013-2014 Season: Next season registration is likely to go on the website around mid-Aug. (we will announce when this happens via email). A likely start date in Sept. is Thurs. the 5th or possibly Monday the 9th...it will depend on what is going on with Mukilteo School District activities. Fees will not be going up in AG1 or higher. Fees may change in Silver/Gold, but this will all be in the registration details emailed out in mid-Aug. NAG and SSC are two separate organizations, but we both support the other. Please note that any outstanding fundraising that needs to be worked out with SSC will be a prerequisite to moving forward with 2013-2014 registration.
- Team Shirts: Our inventory is finally sold. If you would like to order a shirt for next season, please go to our website and click Boosters/Apparel and fill out the order form and turn into Coach Ben. DIRECT LINK.
