Important Updates- Summary of Emails

Hello SRST Family,

Here are some important notes...

  1. Spring Thunderbird meet entries due today.  The correct date of competition is May 17-19.  This is our priority meet in May; all swimmers invited...NO time standards!

  2. The Calendar link on our website has been updated to reflect NO Swimming next week (1st week of April).

  3. The Calendar link is also now showing Sat. workout dates for Seniors.

  4. May Flowers (which has time standards) is due tomorrow (March 28th).

  5. Marlin Madness (no time standards) is due April 8th.

  6. White Water Start of Summer Splash is due April 1st.  Read meet info for details on standards and rules.

  7. Qualifying for swim meets with time standards (explanation for parents)..............if you qualify for a meet and we have already submitted entries, just email Coach Ben ASAP after the race and he will attempt to add you late.  Some teams are allowing us to update files after our original entries are sent in.  Also, when looking at summer championships, please note that even though the meets are being conducted as 50 meter events (LCM, short for Long Course Meters), these meets have qualifying standards in short course yards (25 yard pool), short course meters (25 meter pool) and of course long course meters (50 meter pool).  We post these time standards on our website in Team Info/Swim Meet Info/Time Standards.

  8. VERY IMPORTANT- Please look at your calendar and plan for attending the championship meet (if your swimmer is anywhere close to making a time).....Please plan vacations after championship meets and not before.

  9. When looking at improving and qualifying for upper level meets the most important factors are regular attendance, hard work, goal setting and patience.  The coaching staff will be helping swimmers with goal setting after the first LC meet (so we know where we are starting at) at the end of April.
