Summer Meet Schedule

Dear SSC Members,

We have our swim meet schedule for Long Course (April-August) posted in Swim Meet Info.  Hover your mouse over "Swim Meet Info" and select "2010-2011 Meet List" in the drop-down menu.

We have attempted to include at least one meet per month for swimmers of every level.  Due to the PNS meet schedule being very weak on meet opportunities for newer swimmers, we (the coaching staff) will be running several Friday meets for beginning swimmers.

The summer meet schedule is set up with tight timeframes.  As we approach the spring and summer, expect meet info to be posted and sign-ups to be closed within just a couple days.  This will be necessary to ensure we get accepted as meets fill up well in advance of deadlines posted in meet info packets.  Also expect to enter a month or more in advance.  This means you should plan your spring and summer now.

Key For Reading The Schedule:
LC= Long Course (50 meter pool; one length is a 50)
SC= Short Course: 25 yard pool, just like what we practice in
SCM= Short Course Meters: 25 meters; just a little longer than our pool

Hotel Reservations for Travel Meets:
With the exception of the National/Sectional Level/Zone Meets, SSC will reserve blocks of rooms for out of town meets.  Our parent volunteer literally just got the schedule today like everyone else, so please be patient on the posting of Hotel Info.  When it is ready it will be posted in the drop-down menu in Swim Meet Info and we will email everyone to announce this update.

Chain of Command:
If you have questions about what meets to attend, please speak with the direct coach of your swimmer.

Team Travel Meets:
Swimmers will travel with the coaching staff and chaperones for Speedo Championship and the Senior Zone Meet.  Details will be available much later in the year. 

NWAC Round Robin:
You will notice this meet says by Coach invitation.  This is a special meet where we will go head-to-head against several north end teams in a round-robin format.  The number of swimmers per event is limited and thus the entire meet line-up will be developed by hand by the coaches.  The coaches will be fielding our fastest swimmers in the age groups and will pick the events for each swimmer.  Tenative rosters will be posted as we get closer.  It will be an honor be selected for this competition.
