A great weekend for SSC youngsters

SSC 12 and under had two great meets June 26-27th.  In total, we had 98 completed swims, with 77% PR’s (personal records) with 40 first swims, 35 drops and 23 adds.  This is even more impressive as many swimmers swam the same events only 2 weeks prior.

It is particularly gratifying to see all of these youngsters, most of them only with a few months experience, do so well.

At the WEST invite:

John Cramer, just off a bout with the pneumonia, and missing a couple of weeks, managed a drop in his 50 breaststroke.

Riley Fidler had 67% best times, and made a silver cut in the 100 back

Jeshua Frees had a great meet making gold cuts in the 100 breast, 50 back, 50 free, 100 back, and silver in the 100 breast. Jeshua dropped about 45 seconds total.

Nikki Judd had three drops and make gold in the 100 fly

Shelby Lee had 75% cuts, made zones in the 100 back, got 4 first place finished and made high pointy in the 11/12 boys category

Sean Ngyuenle dropped another 40 seconds (!!) and made PNS cuts in the 200 IM with a 28.96 second drop.

Victoria Nguyenle had 50% drops, dropping about 20 seconds

Ryan Price had his first LC meet with us and swam very well.

Travis Spitzock had 67% PR’s and made a silver cut in the 50 fly

Elli Straume dropped 6 seconds from her 100 breast team record, swum only 2 weeks ago, and made gold in the 100 free.  She had drops in 5 or 6 events

Jeremiah Tien had almost all first swims, made a PNS cut in the 100 back

AT TITLOW:

Katleyn Anderson had a great first meet, making silver in the 50 breast

Theo Briggs swam great in his first Long Course meet.

Jack Busby had 4 PR’s in 6 swims.

Raina Cole swam in her first LC meet with 3 solid swims, including her first ever 50 fly

Angeline Dovinh had 2 drops in 3 swims.

Marissa Kanaly had her first LC meet, getting a Gold cut in the 50 free and a silver in the 50 back

Angela Lee had her first LC meet, making a silver time in the 100 breast

Kynseth Mann blew the coaches away in the her meet. Kynseth made 10 year old silver cut in the 50 breast and barely missed silver in 2 other events. Kynseth is only 6!
