SRST: Two Very Important Announcements

I have 2 important announcements:

1)  USA SWIMMING MEMBERSHIP: This year we required everyone to renew their membership for the entire year in September.  We required PREMIUM membership only.  The reason we do this is because all members sign up for the entire short course season (Sept - March).  As we are entering meets in 2026 I'm getting reports back that many of our people are not current for the 2026 season.  This is exactly the situation we were trying to avoid.  Maintaining current USA Swimming membership is a strict requirement with liability ramifications.

If you do not have a current USA Swimming Membership you cannot swim on SRST.  All members must be current.  If you are not current, this is not something you can do when you get around to it.  It must be done BEFORE you return to any SRST activities.  All non-registered members will be turned away at practice.

2)  BILLING/ACCOUNTS: I'm getting an alarming number of emails coming in with members requesting to not pay their invoice.  If you are considering sending an email with a request to get out of fees, I would urge you to review the Team Handbook.  Please pay special attention to page 2, which is a new page I put in prior to the registration this year.  The purpose of this page was to slow down the sign-up and highlight the importance of understanding billing/fees/volunteering.
