Coach Kati Girard was born and raised in Oregon, where she
competed in swimming, diving and gymnastics during high
school. Kati went on to major in Physical Ed., Health and
Recreation at Oregon State University. Aquatics and
Gymnastics were her specialties. Swimming has been a part of
Kati's life for over 40 years, starting from early on as a swimmer,
and continuing in swimming instruction, facility operations and
coaching. She was hired with the unique opportunity to start and
head coach a brand new high school swimming program in Stanwood,
which progressed to over 50 girls wanting to swim. Kati's
career has evolved over the years with many accomplishments along
the way.
